digital studies for inspiration
I was inspired by the show "Band of Brothers" to create something in a WWII setting. It started from a rough sketch I made while I was waiting at the vet. Some months later I came back to this idea because I wanted to design something by incorperating blender. Mainly to start getting used this software since it offers many benefits.
For reference I heavily looked at WW2 radios, gear and "Kettenkrad" motorcycles. I started out with silhouettes and sketches. And then I transitioned to 3D. After this I went for a solid line drawing and figured out how I can easily iterate different comouflages in photoshop. At the end I did a "soft-render" underneath the line drawing.
